Advantage Rehab is a family owned physical therapy and sports medicine practice. We accept all major health insurance plans as well as worker’s compensation and motor vehicle accident cases. Our mission is to provide effective, evidence based physical therapy interventions in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.

Kimberly Schall, PT, DPT, CMTPT, Owner
Kim is the owner of Advantage Rehab as well as a treating physical therapist in the Denton location. She grew up in Caroline County and graduated from North Caroline High School where she played volleyball and softball. She attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee where she played volleyball and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. After two years of teaching she switched focus and went on to graduate from University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Physical Therapy program in 1995. She is certified in dry needling as well as in concussion management. She recently completed her doctorate degree in physical therapy with a concentration in business management to support her professional development as well as her business aspirations.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach and on the boat with her husband and their family.
Christopher Schall, Business Mgr, Co-Owner
Chris is the co-owner of Advantage Rehab as well as a science teacher at North Caroline High School. He grew up in Caroline County and graduated from North Caroline High School where he played football, baseball and wrestled. He attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education. In 1991 Chris started teaching at NCHS and then relocated to Colonel Richardson High School when his wife went back to school to earn her degree in physical therapy. He taught at CRHS for 15 years before returning to NCHS in 2008, where he is presently teaching today. Chris manages the financial operations of the business and works closely with our billing department to keep the business running efficiently.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the beach and on the boat with his wife and their children.
Megan Hartwick, PTA, Clinic Director
Meg is the clinic director and a treating physical therapist assistant in our Denton location. Meg grew up on the Eastern Shore and graduated from Queen Anne County High School. She has been with our office since graduating as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education Program in 2016. Meg has a passion for assisting patients with improving their quality of life through manual therapy and functional exercise, while providing a fun and energetic therapeutic experience. She has experience working with patients across the life span, from pediatrics to the geriatric population.
She resides in Centreville, MD with her husband Mike. Outside of work, she enjoys watching movies, eating crabs, being out on the water, and spending time with her growing family.
Megan Bryan, Practice Manager
Megan is the practice manager and billing specialist for both our Denton and Federalsburg offices. She is always ready to assist you with any questions you may have regarding billing and can also help you make financial arrangements as needed.
Megan was born in Lewes, DE and grew up in Milford, DE. Following graduation from Milford High School she went on to graduate from Del Tech in 2004 as a Certified Medical Assistant. Since then she has worked in hospital settings as well as specialty offices.
Outside of work she enjoys water sports and spending time with her family on their boat.
Lacey Hesson, PTA
Lacey was born and raised in Charleston, SC where she attended the College of Charleston and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She relocated to Maryland in 2011 and graduated from the Chesapeake Area Consortium for higher Education in 2014 as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Lacey has most of her PTA experience working in an orthopedic, outpatient setting and enjoys working with patients of all ages. She has a passion for helping others and looks forward to continuing her experience and education as a clinician.
Lacey resides in Centreville, MD with her husband James and their 3 girls. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cheering on the Washington Redskins and Nationals, distance running, and boat days.
Sunny Venesky, PTA
Sunny was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. He attended Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and played quarterback for the Bloomsburg Huskies. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, Sunny spent quite a few years living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina learning to hang glide. He eventually settled down on the Eastern Shore and opened the Highland Aerosports Hang Gliding School in Ridgely Maryland which he owned and operated from 1999-2015.
Sunny switched gears and began to pursue a career in physical therapy after closing his business. He graduated from the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education in 2019 as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Sunny has found his niche in the outpatient orthopedic setting and enjoys working with patients of all ages. He has a passion for helping others and looks forward to working with you.
Outside of work Sunny enjoys rock climbing with his wife, Pittsburgh Steeler football and training his dog, “Frank the Tank.”
Jennifer Shortall, Patient Care Coordinator
Jen will most likely be your first point of contact in our Denton office. She will not only help you get scheduled for your initial consult, but will also help you navigate quickly and easily through our paperwork.
Jen graduated from Chesapeake College in 1988, and worked in dentistry as a dental assistant for 30 years prior to taking her position here.
Outside of work, Jen loves to be outdoors kayaking and running, making crafts and spending time with her family.
Brandy McIntyre, Rehab Tech
Brandy is our Senior Rehab Tech in our Denton office. She assists patients with exercises and helps them complete therapeutic activities designed to help them improve their function.
Brandy has lived on the Eastern Shore for 20 years with her husband and three children. She loves to follow high school wrestling and support her children in their extra-curricular activities.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach and on the boat with her family.
Robbie Blakely, Rehab Tech
Robbie is a Rehab Tech in our Denton office. He assists patients with exercises, making sure they use proper form and helps them complete therapeutic activities designed by their therapist to return the client to their previous functional status.
Robbie participated in basketball and football during his four years at North Caroline High School. He is currently a student at Chesapeake College working on prerequisites needed to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Outside of work, he enjoys sports as well as outdoor activities with his Labrador Retriever.
Ted Holloway, Personal Trainer
Ted graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education. He then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University. He has proudly served in the military and is a retired US Marine.
He was mentored by one of the best strength and conditioning coaches, Jeff “Mad Dog” Madden, of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. After learning from him, he went on to become a Division 1 strength and conditioning coach at Morgan State University for 10 years. He has authored two books and one fitness course. Ted has been a personal trainer and track coach for over 25 years. He has coached over 13 NFL Players, several Division 1 Athletes and 15 State Champions.
Ted has previously owned 3 gyms and now heads up the Athletic Performance / Community Fitness Section at Athletic Advantage. His current areas of focus are personal training and sports performance training. He enjoys helping people change their lives.

Dave Malone, PT
David has lived in the town of Federalsburg for the last 45 years. He attended Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then went on to graduate from the University of Maryland Medical School Physical Therapy program in 1984. With almost 35 years of experience, most of which has been in outpatient orthopedics, Dave has the knowledge and passion to assist you with meeting your rehab goals. Dave is very active in seeking out and pursuing educational opportunities. He is currently working on becoming certified in concussion management.
Outside of work, Dave is very involved in his church and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Karen Monteith, PTA
Karen is a Caroline County native, growing up in Preston, MD. She graduated from Colonel Richardson High School and then went on to graduate in 2008 from the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Since that time she has worked in both outpatient and inpatient rehab settings. Karen is an active learner and is currently working on a concussion management certification. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and developing dynamic therapeutic experiences.
Karen now resides in Denton with her husband, Warren. She has two grown daughters and two grandchildren. She enjoys horseback riding, kayaking and other outdoor activities.
Angie Dennis, Patient Care Coordinator
Angie will most likely be your first point of contact in our Federalsburg office. She will not only help you get scheduled for your initial consult, but will also help you navigate quickly and easily through our paperwork. As our patient care coordinator she is always ready to assist you with scheduling or with completion of your exercises as prescribed by the physical therapist. Angie has always loved people and it shows in her interactions with our patients.
Angie is a Caroline County native who grew up in Ridgely, MD. She graduated in 2014 from Chesapeake College with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. Prior to taking this position, she spent over 20 years auditing and transcribing medical records. She now resides in Greensboro with her husband Ray and son Zack. She has a grown daughter, Megan and son-in-law, Chris.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking trips to the beach.
